What is SiCreativo?
SiCreativo is a digital media company, focused on creating the space
for Hispanics to create, compete and have online fun! Our goal is to
put the spotlight on talented Hispanics and let you showcase your
talent. You can interact, engage and show your work to companies and
other Hispanics. Go ahead, show what you do best on SiCreativo, from
songwriting and design to creating short films and commercials and
don't miss the chance to get discovered. We are based in San Francisco
and Buenos Aires.How do I get started?
Start at the home page and choose a contest that you like. You can view all
the submissions you like. However if you want to vote or leave a
comment you have to be registered.
Complete your profile
At any point after signing-in, you can go to “My profile” and make the page your own! Here, you can:
- See summary of your contests and activities.
- Let others know who you are and enter information such as:
name, age, country or origin, about me, what you like and dislike, etc.
To complete:
- Go to “My profile”
- Go to “My Corner” or “About Me” sections, then EDIT
- Start filling in the information in the boxes
- When satisfied with the information, click SEND
- Upload your videos
- Go to “My profile”
- Go to “Videos” section, then EDIT
- Click on UPLOAD
- Browse for the file you want to upload, select it, then click SEND
- Upload your photos
- Go to “My profile”
- Go to Photos section, then EDIT
- Click on UPLOAD
- Browse for the file you want to upload, select it, then click SEND
- Claim your blog
- Go to “My profile”
- Go to “Blog” section, then EDIT
- Click on ADD to join the Sicreativo blog network
- Fill out the Required (*) details and then click SUBMIT YOUR BLOG NOW
- Create your blog
- Go to “My profile”
- Go to “Blog” section, then EDIT
- click on BUILD, then START YOUR BLOG NOW
- You will see a screen with confirmation that your blog was created
- Click on START POSTING NOW, to enter relevant information and start posting to your blog!
- Fill out the Required (*) details and then click PUBLISH, to create your first post
- You can add pictures to your blog using the “Add Image' button. Click the button and insert your images.
Will anyone contact me if I become a Brand Insider?
Companies might be interested in your opinion and contact you to comment on their new advertising campaign, or a new product etc, and you will get rewarded for your time. HOWEVER, they will only contact you only after you agree that it is ok for Companies to contact you with questions. You can choose not to be contacted and still enjoy all the other benefits of the long form registration.
Do I have to sign in to look around?
No, you can just enter and look at all contest submissions and have fun. However if you want to vote for your favorite song then yes, you will have to sign up, it takes less than 30 seconds.
Will I have to pay to participate?
Absolutely not.
Can I send content and videos to friends?
Yes, after you have logged in you can send any contest submission to your friends. And in My profile section you can request friends to join you at SiCreativo.
Can I embed my content (videos, images, etc.) into My profiles on social networks (My Space, Xanga, etc) ?
We will soon provide tools that will allow you to automatically embed your content across the web, to your social networking profiles, your site, blog, etc.
What kind of content can I submit?
- Any content that follows our rules and conditions
- Any content relevant to the contest, that is if you want to win.
- And content that you are proud of and want others to see or listen to.
Who will be submitting content?
All creative people. To make it more fun, we have “Company Awards” and “Latino’s Choice Awards”.
Will the content be approved before it is on SiCreativo?
No, but we do check your work, and we have the right to delete it, if it does not follow our rule or the contest rules.
How do I submit Video?
Once you create content, follow the steps below if you’d like to submit to a campaign. You must be registered and logged in to submit content. To log in, please press here and to join us and create an account, press here.
- Browse through the campaigns and select the ones you want to enter
- Click on the campaign to view contest rules, contest brief, and submitted content
- Click the JOIN button
- If you are not signed in already, you will be prompted to enter your username and password. If you do not have an account, you will be prompted to create one.
- After you sign in, you will be able to click on UPLOAD button, to upload your content
- Once in the upload section, you can browse, upload your content, fill in the last few details and enter the campaign!
What type of video files can I submit?
There are a few guidelines on the type of files you can submit:
- Length: Video files with a duration of no less than 15 seconds and no more than 5 minutes.
- Format: The video’s format must be "flv".
- File Size: The maximun size for the video can be of 100 MB
What type of music files can I submit?
We accept mp3 files. Music files should not exceed 10 MB in size.
What type of images files can I submit?
We accept jpg or png formats. Image files should not exceed 10 MB in size.
Who creates a contest?
Companies, Business, Record Label, Radio Stations, and anyone that wants to promote their product or service to the Latino consumers. If we don’t already include a specific company or brand you’d like to see on Sicreativo, you can email us with suggestions at info@sicreativo.com.
What do I have to do when a contest starts?
Search and review the contest brief. The contest brief is a short explanation about the product or brand the contest is formed around. Usually there’s also link to the website of the Company that is hosting the contest, where you can get useful information on how to make successful content around the brand.
How is the contest winner determined?
Most campaigns have two winners: the Company Choice Winner and the Latino People Choice Winner. The Company Choice Winner is chosen by the Company that is sponsoring the contest. The SiCreativo community selects the Latino People Choice Winner by voting for the best videos. Both winners will be rewarded.
What does the winner gets?
They can get Money awarded by SiCreativo, money awarded by the Company who hosted the contest. But most importantly the possibility of getting discovered and your work posted on the product or ad.
When are the winners awarded the prize?
Winners are contacted after verifying that the work has followed the rules. Once this has been cleared, we will send the prize to the winner within 30 days.
